Yes. Flagstaff Mediation Centre is a neutral venue available to external mediators, lawyers, barristers and dispute resolution professionals. The Centre provides professional room hire and venue facilities. It does not provide legal advice or act for any party.

The Centre is suitable for workplace, commercial, civil, insurance, employment, WorkCover, TAC, personal injury, common law, family law, family business, partnership and organisational disputes.

Yes. The Centre offers 3-room and 4-room mediation hire packages designed to accommodate separate parties and private breakout discussions.

Public areas are not suitable for confidential breakout sessions, so all required rooms should be included in the booking request.

Additional breakout rooms are available as an optional extra.

Yes, subject to availability and room configuration. For mediations involving more than three parties, additional attendees, separate representatives or special room requirements, please contact the Centre to discuss the most suitable arrangement.

Yes. The Centre offers half-day and full-day booking packages for both 3-room (2 party) and 4-room (3 party) mediation hire. Tailored bookings, additional hourly use and after-hours bookings may also be available by arrangement.

Yes. The Centre can accommodate online and hybrid mediation arrangements.

Hi-speed Wi-Fi is included at the Centre to support client-supplied (bring your own) hardware for online and hybrid mediation solutions.

Each joint session mediation room includes use of a wall or mobile pedestal-mounted LED screen.

Yes. Catering is available on request and is priced separately. Please provide at least 7 days’ notice so that availability and costing can be confirmed.

Filtered water, tea and coffee-making facilities are available onsite and complimentary.

Yes. Payment in full is required to secure a booking. Once a booking request is made, an invoice for the room hire fee will be issued to the person, firm or organisation making the booking. A confirmation email will be sent once payment has been received.

No. Flagstaff Mediation Centre does not split bills or issue split invoices. One invoice is issued to the person, firm or organisation making the booking. Any private arrangement between parties about sharing the cost of room hire is a matter for those parties.

Cancellations must be notified in writing. If a booking is cancelled with 5 or more business days’ notice, the room hire fee will be refunded in full, less any unrecoverable third-party costs already incurred. If a booking is cancelled with less than 5 business days’ notice, 50% of the room hire fee will be refunded.

Yes. The Centre is designed to provide a private and professional setting for confidential mediations and dispute resolution meetings, including private breakout rooms for separate parties.

The Centre is located at Level 1, 326 William Street, Melbourne and has lift access. Attendees with specific accessibility requirements should contact the Centre before the booking so suitable arrangements can be discussed.
